Bob Huppert is a writer, satirist, and survivor.
His work spans gritty memoir, dark theology, surreal fiction, and the absurd truths hiding in addiction and belief. From Nine Lives to Fermented Faith and beyond, he tackles salvation, self-destruction, and the spiritual mess in between — always with a crooked smile and a clear-eyed voice. He lives somewhere between sobriety and sarcasm. And he writes like both are sacred.
Why I Write
I don’t write to save souls. I write because mine needed saving.
Because remembering is holy. Because satire is scripture, and laughter salvation.
Because someone out there is just sober enough to need the truth — or at least a laugh.
A personal intro for first-time readers:
You don’t need to be in recovery. You don’t need to believe in God or be an atheist.
You just need to be willing to question everything — including yourself.
My books are messy, raw, and maybe healing. Welcome to where we clean up the wreckage of our past — or least try to.
